  With Falcon EHR’s eCharting you can quickly and easily document progress notes using your personalized nephrology-specific templates with common phrases and wording, review patient history and  create automated progress notes and referral letters.  You can also use the quick note feature to cut documentation time in half by pulling forward previous encounters and documenting changes, rather than starting from scratch each time.

    Encounter Templates

    With eCharting you can choose from one of many pre-built encounter templates or customize it to meet the way you practice medicine. Each encounter can be quickly documented by selecting common choices from radio buttons, drop-down menus and search fields.

  • Automation

    Each encounter template includes calculated fields that make it quick to enter and understand information, as well as to ensure accuracy. For example, enter the patients height and weight and their BMI is automatically calculated. Or, enter a patient’s weight in lbs, and height in feet and inches, and Falcon EHR automatically converts the data to kilograms and centimeters.

    Review of Systems

    In the Review of Systems, you can simply click on “normal” or “abnormal” to describe various body systems and pre-filled descriptions will appear. You can also modify the pre-fill text as needed based on personal preference or in unique circumstances.

  • Dictation and Transcriptions*

    Falcon EHR has enhanced features that seamlessly connect to dictation services, including Phoenix Medcom.  With Phoenix Medcom,  your dictated note will automatically be sent into your message center for you to view and accept as part of the patient’s note, eliminating the need for cutting and pasting.

  Falcon EHR enables you to view lab results quickly and easily. Simply select the lab values you would like to review and how you would like to see them — in table or graph form.

    Lab Values

    Lab values are automatically updated in patient records as they come in from national labs, such as DVA Laboratory Services. Falcon EHR identifies outliers and unusual values by highlighting them in red.

  • Lab Graphs

    Falcon EHR's  graphing function is an advanced data visualization and analysis tool that eliminates manual data processing work and enables you to save time. Use it to review, track and analyze lab results over time. Easily identify patterns between treatment protocols and lab outcomes. The system automatically calculates changes compared to the previous week or month, or to the same date range a year earlier.

    Lab Results

    Lab results will come in automatically from DaVita Laboratory services or any other lab that Falcon EHR interfaces your practice with.* Results can be downloaded in PDF format.
     

    * Lab interfaces through Falcon EHR are determined per practice and are subject to Laboratory Service Agreements between laboratories and practices.

  Use Falcon EHR’s ePrescribing module to maximize your reimbursement, ensure patient safety and save time.

    Drug Interactions

    Simply enter a medication and dosage amount. You will be automatically warned if the medication you have entered will have an adverse interaction with other medications the patient is taking. You can also review all of the patient’s medication history, canceled medications and discontinued medications.

  • Med to Allergy Alert

    Falcon EHR provides alerts if a medication is prescribed that will interact with a patient’s existing medications or will generate an allergic reaction. The alert level can be customized on a practice level.

    Falcon EHR’s progressive search and extensive medication and pharmacy database make ePrescribing simple for you and your patients.

  Falcon EHR's navigation is simple and intuitive. The drop down from the main menu allows you to access all areas within the system, from allergies, to lab graphs, to orders, quickly and simply. The easy-to-use search bar makes finding patient data a one-click process. And, much like an internet browser window, you can toggle between various modules by selecting among mutiple tabs at the top of the page.

    Patient Search

    Type in the patient’s name in the Patient Search field and hover over the text to find a quick overview about the patient, including date of birth, address and the physician name.

  • Multiple Module Navigation

    Similar to an internet web browser, you can navigate between modules through the tabs at the top of the page. As you open each new section, such as Patient Locator and Address Book, those modules will appear as tabs at the top of the screen so that you can navigate back and forth, or close the tabs individually as needed.
