Why is Falcon EHR Web-based?

We realized the need to offer a solution that was cost-effective, competitive and convenient for Falcon EHR customers. By having a Web-based solution, practices do not have to purchase, maintain or support expensive servers to run the EHR in-house. Why get an EHR now?

With stimulus incentive payments scheduled to start in the middle of 2011, there is no better time than now to choose, install, learn and use an EHR. Delaying can reduce possible maximum incentive payments and may lead to penalties for not adopting at all. In addition, an EHR solution can enable you to achieve:

  • Complete digital tracking of all patient records
  • Automation and streamlining of clinical processes
  • Improved safety through evidence-based decision support, quality management and outcomes reporting
  • Reinforced practice outcomes
  • Connectivity across points of care, including your practice, the hospital, vascular access center, labs, pharmacies and your dialysis center

Is Falcon EHR Meaningful Use / ONCHIT Certified yet?

Falcon EHR received ONCHIT (or Meaningful Use) certification on June 1st, 2011, which means it can be used by physicians to qualify for Meaningful Use of an EHR. By demonstrating Meaningful Use, physicians can qualify for federal stimulus payments of up to $44,000*.

For some practices, EHR selection, implementation and meaningful use training program can take twelve months or longer, so the time to select the right EHR for your practice is now. The good news is that in the first payment year, physicians are only required to attest to meaningfully using a certified EHR for 90 continuous days, to qualify for the maximum incentive.

If you are currently using Falcon EHR you can now begin to logging your 90 days of Meaningful Use for the first year of the incentive program. If you are still searching for an EHR, register for a demo and learn how you can qualify for Meaningful Use incentives. Or complete a contact form, or call (877) 99-FALCON.

*$44,000 is the maximum amount for the Medicare incentive program but physicians who qualify for the Medicaid incentive program, can be eligible for more stimulus funds.
